Lund Elmer Sandager has many years behind and dates back to 1874. When a company survives for almost 150 years, it is obviously capable of keeping abreast of developments and being innovative.
And when we say innovation, it is not just empty rhetoric. We have won the Association of Danish Law Firm's award for innovation.
Lund Elmer Sandager is a traditional Danish law firm dating back many years.
However, we also believe that nobody can stand alone in this world. For the sake of our clients and ourselves we need to look beyond the borders and dare explore our own world. There must be a limit to how Danish we are.
Therefore, Lund Elmer Sandager and our attorneys are involved in a number of international working relationships and associations where we form networks and gain knowledge and inspiration to be used in our assistance to Danish and international clients and we also contribute articles to the international database of articles Legal Knowledge Portal.
We are furthermore listed on various international ranking sites such as Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR1000. Please see rankings for details.
We always share our vast international experience which is not only legal but also commercial. If you need a local contact in another country, we will help find the right person and help you and your company with the initial process. If we know them - you know them.
Lund Elmer Sandager is member of two European networks of independent law firms; Telfa and Lexwork International. We are represented in the US through our longstanding cooperation with Peter L. Hessellund-Jensen, who graduated law school in Denmark and is a Attorney at Law in New York.
Apart from this, our attorneys are members of and active within the international legal associations American Bar Association, International Bar Association and AIJA. We believe that we gain knowledge and bring home international experiences, opportunities and competences the more we get involved and engaged and therefore, several of our attorneys are also on the boards and committees of the international legal associations and their management.
CSR, diversity and Pro Bono
Lund Elmer Sandager is dedicated to act in socially responsible manner and to contribute positively to the society we are in. We support several foundations and charities, and are committed to enjoy diversity as an asset to be developed.
Lund Elmer Sandager has acceded the Danish Law Code, “advokatKODEKS”, which implies that we comply with the principles of transparency, visible social responsibility, handling ethical dilemmas, modern management with focus on clients and employees and diversity as a strength. In particular, we value flexibility and our employees' differences as we believe this will add value to the development of Lund Elmer Sandager and, thus, ultimately add value to our clients.
Additionally, we encourage our employees to participate in voluntary work. Several of our employees have chosen to allocate resources to e.g. legal aid, student tutoring programmes and other pro bono work. An example of this is Lund Elmer Sandager’s involvement in Danish Justice Foundation – an organisation with the aim of improving conditions in the parts of the world where people for various reasons are deprived of their human rights.
Another example is UNG RET which is a voluntary organisation solely based on the voluntary work of law students, established and run by - among others - former and current law students from Lund Elmer Sandager. UNG RET’s objects are to provide free legal aid to young people primarily between 16-30 years and to students.
For more information about our CSR initiative, please contact Head of Administration, Henrik Hagbarth.
Lund Elmer Sandager is ranked by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500, two of the most prestigious legal publications world wide.
Both ranking firms are working independently, and their results are based on a series of criteria of which positive client feedback is essential.
