Lund Elmer Sandager contributes to the EU Whistleblower Directive Jurisdiction Overview by TELFA

In November 2019, the EU Whistleblower Directive came into force. The Directive required EU Member States to implement the whistleblower protection in national law by December 2021 which many member states missed.

Compliance in one member state or the UK therefore does not necessarily result in compliance in all other member states as well. To navigate the different approaches in 16 member states, TELFA (Trans European Law Firm Alliance) has prepared this jurisdictional overview.

Honored to participate, Attorney and Chief Compliance Officer Charlotte Stoltenberg has provided insightful information to cover the Danish overview. The overview shows the development in Denmark and how the adoption of the Whistleblower Directive in the EU has made it a requirement for all companies and public authorities with more than 50 employees to have a whistleblower scheme.
