Proposed law for sexual harassment is now presented
In March 2022, the former government and labor market parties entered into a three-party agreement that, among other things, aims to strengthen efforts against sexual harassment in Danish workplaces. However, several initiatives to combat sexual harassment in the workplace require amendments to both the Equal Treatment, Occupational Health and Safety, and Vocational Education Laws, which have now been formally presented in a proposed law on February 1st, 2023.

Is a data protection officer specially protected against termination?
The European Court of Justice has just dealt with this question in a case about the German rules on the protection of data protection officers (DPOs). The General Data Protection Regulation contains rules on the protection of DPOs. It appears, for example, from article 38 of the regulation that DPOs may not be dismissed for carrying out their duties.

New rules on employment contracts are on the way

It is now prohibited for employers to request information on age in recruitment processes

New special law for Ukrainian refugees
A long with a broad majority of the Danish Parliament, the government has passed a special law for refugees from Ukraine. The special law constitutes an exception to the rules of the Immigration law and aims to secure a temporary residence and work permit in Denmark for persons driven away due to the war in Ukraine.

An amendment of the law on earmarked parental leave has now been adopted
