Ukrainian refugees get even faster access to the labour market

Danish companies have a strong desire to employ Ukrainian refugees, and as a result, the Government has introduced a fast-track scheme, which will take effect from 22 April 2022.

With the fast-track scheme, the individual Ukrainian who has applied for a residence permit can start working in Denmark immediately from Friday 22 April 2022.

From this date, companies must ensure that there is a valid receipt that the Ukrainian citizen has applied for a residence permit with the Danish Authorities.

However, this fast access to the labour market does not apply if the foreigner is not covered by the special law.
