What is your area of expertise?
I specialize in individual employment law, particularly where companies are not regulated by a collective agreement. I also work with collective labor law, but that's not my main focus.

I typically represent employers, advising our clients' HR departments or the respective managers responsible for HR and employees on all aspects of labor and employment law on a daily basis.

Who are your typical clients?
My clients are primarily companies with more than 50 employees. These can include corporate groups where HR is based abroad, which requires assistance not only to comply with Danish law but also to meet Danish customs and practices, which can differ significantly from, for example, our Nordic neighbors. In such situations, we guide clients through the entire process, including all practical aspects, to ensure everything is done properly and in the way that best suits the client.

What do you emphasize in your advice?
I strive to get a full picture of the organization before offering my take on the best possible solution in a given situation. It's not always the most obvious legal solution that is the best one for the client. For example, in dispute cases, it's important for me to discuss the possibility of reaching a settlement rather than spending time and energy on winning a case, which may not ultimately serve the organization’s best interests. These are considerations I always make in collaboration with our clients when providing advice.

What legal trends do you find interesting?
Currently, there is a significant focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), which I believe will become a natural part of what we employment law attorneys need to address and advise on in the future. I am already seeing that employees and applicants are considering ESG policies, which may become a key factor for strong candidates in the future, thus becoming a competitive advantage for clients.

Looking beyond my own area of expertise, I find the developments in AI incredibly exciting. I believe our clients will expect us to use AI and provide advice on it. It will likely change how we work as attorneys—not by compromising the law, but by ensuring we can address it, especially if conflicts arise over the use of AI.

What drives you in your work?
I am passionate about my field of law. I particularly enjoy the human element that often needs to be considered in finding good solutions—it’s not always just about assets and money. We must always consider the recipient on the other side and how to communicate difficult matters in the best possible way. Even when dealing with what might be considered standard products, like employment contracts or termination agreements, no two situations are the same, making my workday both exciting and challenging.

What do you do in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. It's important for me to exercise and relax with a good book or some bad TV, which is a bit of a guilty pleasure. When I really need to unplug, we go to our summer house on Møn, where I love to live "the simple life" and recharge my batteries.
