TELFA Spring Conference 2018
The Conference speakers discussed why London remains a “hot” city for investment in real estate and the implications of Brexit from a variety of perspectives, including expert opinions from Germany and Ireland. There was also a presentation of cutting edge technology from forensic engineers, S-E-A Ltd, that has been designed to assist developers with planning, modelling and delivering their developments, as well as being a very useful tool in relation to disputes.
The afternoon session of the Conference included a plenary session with the following experts: Maria Donohoe of Enterprise Ireland, Stephan Leimback of JLL Germany, James Mulhall, of Murphy Mulhall Dublin, Jeremy McGivern of Mercury Homesearch, Robert Barnard of BDO LLP and David Nicholson from the luxury hotel business, Jumeriah Group. Over 60 TELFA and USLAW representatives along with Wedlake Bell clients were in attendance.
Richard Isham, President of TELFA, a member of the Board of USLAW and Partner at Wedlake Bell, comments:
“This is a really exciting time for Wedlake Bell and for TELFA as demand continues to increase for specialist real estate offerings. The Conference was an excellent opportunity to discuss the timely topic of investment in the real estate sector from a variety of perspectives and debate the implications of Brexit on the property market. It is also very encouraging to hear that London remains a truly global city notwithstanding the uncertainty created by Brexit."
