Bankrupt R&H A/S: Trustee working towards a comprehensive solution

Partner Per Hald, who has been appointed as trustee, states that the bankruptcy is the result of several years of declining revenue and a lack of liquidity. Until the bankruptcy, R&H A/S remained an active, operational business with physical stores, an online webshop, and a substantial inventory.

The trustee’s office is currently exploring the possibilities for a comprehensive solution that would allow the business to be continued.

“We are currently exploring whether we can find a buyer for the entire business who can continue operations, as it represents a plug-and-play solution in its current form. The challenge has been a lack of liquidity.”

For many years, R&H A/S has been a significant player in the Danish and Scandinavian fashion and retail market. The company was founded in 1996 and has evolved from a wholesale distributor of skate and lifestyle brands into an operator of both mono-brand and multi-brand retail stores.

The bankruptcy estate includes, among other assets, three stores in Copenhagen, a large external inventory, and digital platforms. According to Per Hald, several expressions of interest have already been received, and efforts are ongoing to clarify the future of R&H A/S within a relatively short timeframe, as both brand value and commercial opportunities are time-sensitive.
