Meet Sira

As LES’ first compliance controller, Sira has played a key role in shaping her position. She appreciates both the variety of her tasks and the close collaboration with colleagues across the firm.

LES wanted to centralize processes such as case creation and anti-money laundering, which led to Sira taking on the role of Compliance Controller in Compliance.

"When I started at LES, there were no other compliance controllers, so I was part of building the role from the ground up as an extension of a pilot project," Sira explains. "It has been exciting to help develop a brand-new function in close collaboration with my manager. I’ve applied my experience in a new way, and together we have created structure and solutions tailored to LES."

Sira is responsible for case creation, conflict checks, anti-money laundering controls and client data management. She describes her work as a mix of routine tasks and varied assignments, providing both structure and flexibility in her daily work.

"Overall, my job is about ensuring that all our data is correct, verified and secure," she explains. "There’s always something to do, but I like that I can influence my own workday and have the freedom to prioritize and structure my time."

Her role requires both an eye for detail and a strong sense of organization, which she finds especially rewarding.

One of the things Sira enjoys most about her job is broad interaction with colleagues across the entire organization.

"One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is that I get to interact with colleagues from every department," she says. "I work closely with partners, assistant attorneys, legal assistants and have daily conversations with many different people in the firm."

She also values the positive atmosphere among her colleagues at LES:

"For me, having a good relationship with the people I work with is very important. LES is not too big, which makes it easy to build strong connections, but it’s still large enough to have a great workflow and well-established structure," she explains.
