Lund Elmer Sandager advises AquaGreen ApS in securing DKK 60 million

Lund Elmer Sandager has advised AquaGreen ApS in securing strategic investments of DKK 60 million from Japanese conglomerate Marubeni Corporation and current shareholders, including Nordic Alpha Partners, Swedish FMG Circular Invest AB, and Impagt Invest Sjælland.

AquaGreen is a vital part of the circular economy, utilizing advanced steam-drying and pyrolysis technologies to convert biomass and waste, such as sewage sludge, into renewable energy, soil-improving biochar, and activated carbon, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and environmental pollutants.

With the strategic investments, AquaGreen is solidifying its expansion strategy. Marubeni Corporation’s involvement not only provides vital funding but also leverages its extensive expertise in water treatment and distribution, which serves 16.6 million people globally. This partnership represents a pivotal step in addressing global environmental challenges and advancing sustainable water infrastructure.

The Lund Elmer Sandager M&A team was led by Partner Jacob Roesen.
