New control signal from the Danish Tax Agency allows reimbursement of fee
On September 20, the Danish Tax Agency (SKAT) announced a new control signal that allows lessors who have paid full registration fees to have their cases resumed, dating back to 1 July 2012.

The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority extends the deadline for implementing Strong Customer Authentication by 18 months
However, the extension does not change that the rules on strong customer authentication will enter into force on September 14, 2019.

European Court of Justice: SKAT has charged VAT in violation of EU law
The tax authorities have so far had a hard practice that properties with existing buildings should be interpreted as building site when part of the body of contracts has been a turnkey contract for the construction of residences, whereby the purchase price for the property must include VAT. The European Court of Justice delivered a judgment on 4 September 2019 in a case, stating that this interpretation is contrary to EU law.

The Consumer Ombudsman is focusing on hidden advertising on social media
On 13 August 2029, the Consumer Ombudsman reported four Danish “influencers” to the police for violating the prohibition against hidden advertising on social media laid down in the Danish Marketing Practices Act. The police reports show that the Consumer Ombudsman is focused on ensuring compliance with the rules on advertising and marketing on social media, regardless which kind of marketing it is.
