The rapid spreading of the coronavirus gives rise to address issues relating to labor and employment law in Denmark which employers must take into consideration. On 13 August 2029, the Consumer Ombudsman reported four Danish “influencers” to the police for violating the prohibition against hidden advertising on social media laid down in the Danish Marketing Practices Act. The police reports show that the Consumer Ombudsman is focused on ensuring compliance with the rules on advertising and marketing on social media, regardless which kind of marketing it is.
